Give yourself a random secret goal to fulfill during the conversation with whatever boring person you’re talking to.
Some favorites I use during the holidays:
Pick a word at random and see how many times you can make the person use that word.
Simple words, but still not common in conversation.
Like “corn” or “pillowcase”
And try to steer the conversation in that...
